Case Study
Introduction of the Project
This was a project for my class Design and Planning. We needed to make a personal logo that represented us as a designer and a person. This project could potenially be an idea we might use once we become an offical Graphic Designer!

Problem
Image 1
one problem that I had faced was I had two different designs as it seems from my sketches that I wanted to do these two designs, and I felt like it represented both my design and my personality.

Solution & Research
As we gave feedback to our fellow classmates and from our professor, one thing was noted within the planning stage of these designs, was having too much detail (sketch 1). So, from the feedback and the design choices from other classmates, I went with the second design as it showcased my favorite color, a sea creature that inspires me, and my personal pen that I use for my artworks. I chose to go with my second sketch/design for my personal logo.

Design Process
When I first began to sketch out my ideas, I first wanted to use a Sona that I’ve been representing myself via online and through my art works. This is how the first sketch came to life. I wanted to show who I am through my art as a human. Come up with a certain color pallet that is quick and easy to follow. My second idea was a bit different. I wanted to showcase my skills with my favorite art supplies and a creature that has inspired me to draw more than just humans in my artwork, thus, the moray eel logo sketch was created and a basic idea of where I wanted words and colors to go.

Outcomes
and
Reflection
Overall, I love the design! Throughout my college experience sea creatures (such as the moray eels, sharks, and octopuses) Have been a huge inspiration for my art pieces and my desire to learn more about the ocean. As for the final Result of the project, I think I could have done a bit more with the words and typography and the lines around the image, but those small details aside, I feel like this project really stood out to me as a designer and I had a ton of fun learning more about logos and why we need to keep things simple and recognizable. I'll definally be using this concept design for later on in the future!
